HM Revenue and Customs
The UK Government body responsible for the collection and administration of taxes and duties. Formerly known as the Inland Revenue.
The Pensions Advisory Service
The Pensions Advisory Service is a grant-aided, non-profit making company limited by guarantee. TPAS is an independent and voluntary organisation giving free help and advice to members of the public with an issue concerning either a company or personal pension. Advice on State scheme benefits is not provided. Formerly known as OPAS.
The Pensions Ombudsman
The Pensions Ombudsman investigate complaints about how pension schemes are run. Their service is free and open to people who have a complaint against those responsible for the running or administration of pension schemes. They also consider some issues from trustees or managers of pension schemes and participating employers.
The Pensions Regulator
The Pensions Regulator is the regulator of work-based pension schemes in the UK. Created under the Pensions Act 2004, it has wider powers and a more proactive and risk-focused approach to regulation compared to its predecessor. It is a good source of information providing helpful guidance on topics such as your retirement options.
